Wildlife Service, Contracting and General Services, Region 2, seeks
quotations for construction of a 300 square foot below ground storm
shelter. The work includes, but is not limited to, assuring the
structure is water tight and resist flotation due to buoyancy from
saturated soils. The allowable stress design (ASD) method shall be used
for construction materials selected (concrete, masonry, wood). The
structure is to accommodate 30 average size people. The requirement is
located at the Salt Plains National Wildlife Refuge in near Enid
Oklahoma in Alfalfa County. The solicitation is open to large and small
business. The SIC code is 1629. It is anticipated that the solicitation
will be available by July 25, 2000. It is anticipated that evaluation
and award will be made by August 18, 2000. Award will be made to the
responsive responsible contractor who provides the low quote in
consideration of price and price-related factors. Requests for the
