One at the Speer Microwave Site located approximately five miles south of Cheyenne, Wyoming, next to Interstate 25, and one at the Weldona Microwave Sited located approximately one hour west of Greeley, Colorado, near Weldona, Colorado. The project includes the construction of two microwave buildings using pre-cast concrete with exposed aggregate finish, along with completed interiors and equipment necessary for this type of facility. Also, foundations must be constructed at each site. The buildings must be transported to the site and placed on the foundations. All electrical equipment must be workable, grounding mat connected and electric service trenched. The magnitude of this construction project is between $100,000 and $250,000. Estimated completion date is 120 calendars days after Notice to Proceed is issued. The solicitation package will be issued hard copy Free of Charge. Note: In accordance with FAR 5.102-3, Western procurement officials will be limiting availability of the solicitation package. Therefore, only a Limited Number of Copies will be issued on a "first-come, first-serve" basis. The solicitation will be issued on or about July 24, 2000. Bid Bonds, Performance and Payment Bonds shall be required. The closing date is on or about August 29, 2000. This proposed procurement is set aside for small business concerns. See Numbered Note 1. Standard Industrial Code is 1542 and the applicable size standard is $27.5 million effective July 17, 2000.
