This is a Solicitation Notice. The issue date for plans and specifications is 24 July 2000. Contractors who have already submitted a check in the amount of $23.51 (Your company check will be returned), Contractors should now re-submit a check for $12.00 (The COST is now $12.00 in lieu of $23.51 for the CD-Rom) The work includes the removal of the faux simulating a Disaster Control Center in Rooms 119, 120, 121 and 122, the ship's ladder, the hatch leading to the second floor, and existing lighting fixtures; the provision of a women's head to include a toilet area, shower area, and locker area, new wall, floor, and ceiling treatments, and new lighting fixtures; and incidental related work. Estimated cost range for this project is $100,000 -- $250,000. The SIC Code is 1799 and size standard is $7.0 million. The solicitation will be issued Unrestricted. In accordance with FAR 5.102(a)(7), availability of the solicitation will be limited to the electronic medium. Plans and specifications will NOT be directly provided in a paper hard copy format. The government intends to issue this solicitation through the use of CD-ROM. Bidders/Offerors interested in obtaining the CD-ROM for this project must mail in their request on Company letterhead stating: (1) Complete Solicitation Number and Title of Project, (2) Complete Address, Point of Contact, Area code and phone number and fax number, E-mail address, (3) Number of CD-ROMs requested, (4) identify whether the firm is a prime contractor, sub-contractor or supplier, indicate whether the firm is a small business, small disadvantaged business, large business and if the firm is a woman-owned business along with a Company check, Cashier check or Money order annotated with the applicable solicitation number in the amount of $12.00 for one CD-Rom (THIS CHARGE IS NON-REFUNDABLE) to Defense Automated Printing Services, Building 4/D, Attn: Roy Bowser, 700 Robbins Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19111-5094. CDs will be mailed first class mail. No pick-ups are authorized. Phone requests will not be honored.
