This Request for Information (RFI) is issued for the purpose of identifying potential sources with the capability to provide the following: The Navy and U.S. Coast Guard have a need to identify training capabilities related to available and anticipated training courses, courseware, software, simulations, and training devices for the operation and maintenance of Caterpillar 3500 diesel engines/generator sets with electronic fuel injection (EFI) and fuel management systems (FMS). The particular application is for the 3508B marine diesel generator sets. The training may be in the form of a part task EFI and FMS trainer/training, or a part of a complete engine trainer/training. There is also an interest in trainers or training for the 3600 series of marine diesel engines and generator sets. This market survey is for information and planning purposes only, and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government.
