The Army has a mission to consolidate commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) software and hardware purchases and maintenance Army-wide. It is intended to meet the needs for Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP, as detailed in the Presidential Decision Directive (PDD-63) that calls for a national effort to assure the security of the increasingly vulnerable and interconnected public and private networks of the U.S. As a means to immediately assess potential areas of risk and exposures to attach and develop the solutions to strengthen the protections of those identified weaknesses, it is our intent to set up BPA's against GSA Federal Schedules. Potential offerors shall be able to provide e-security solution reports in the areas of Critical Infrastructure Asset Identification, Risk Management (Vulnerability Assessment and Threat Identification), Critical Infrastructure Continuity and Contingency Planning, Physical Infrastructure Protection, Information System security and information Assurance and Emergency Preparedness, Awareness training, Exercises and solutions, new licenses and maintenance. Potential offers will work with the appropriate Government agencies and within the boundaries established by the Federal Intrusion Detection network (FID Net) to ensure completely compatible and cohesive systems throughout the life of the BPA.
