The Defense Supply Service-Washington, on the behalf of the Office of the Secretary of Defense, intends to award a singly source award (IAW FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source) to the Center for Strategic Decision Research to conduct and provide the proceedings of the XVIIth International NATO Workshop: Berlin 2000 in Berlin, Germany. The principal themes to be addressed in this year's workshop will be the workshop will be the relationship between NATO and Europe (including the defense industry restructuring that will follow for ESDI and DCI), NATO's relationship with Russian and Ukraine, and the reconstruction and establishment of peace in Southeastern Europe. In addition, there will be continued attention to the political debate in Europe on Ballistic Missile Defense and to future NATO enlargement. Numerous political, military, academic, and industrial leaders from NATO and Partner countries will be in attendance. No solicitation will be issued.
