COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION FOR COMMERCIAL ITEMS PREPARED IN
ACCORDANCE WITH THE FORMAT IN SUBPART 12.6, AS SUPPLEMENTED WITH
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION INCLUDED IN THIS NOTICE. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT
CONSTITUTES THE ONLY SOLICITATION; PROPOSALS ARE BEING REQUESTED AND A
WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. The solicitation number is
U2B556 and the solicitation is being issued as a Request for Quote
(RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provision and clauses
are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-16. This
contract will be awarded as a result of a Simplified Acquisition with
Full and Open competition. This procurement is NOT a small business
set-aside. However, the associated Standard Industrial Code (SIC) Code
is 8731 and the size standard is 500 employees. The Contractor shall
(1) recommend technique(s) for extrapolating short-term human activity
pattern data to longer-term exposure estimates; (2) develop
methodologies and tools for refining the dietary exposure modeling
algorithm in the SHEDS-Pesticides model; and (3) analyze results from
a children's videography study to refine SHEDS-Pesticides input
probability distributions from microactivity data. There are four (4)
separate tasks referenced in the Statement of Work that should be
priced separately. Payment of the fixed price for each task will follow
successful completion of each of the tasks as evidenced by receipt of
acceptable deliverables. Referenced Statement of Work can be found on
the Internet at http://www.epa.gov/oam/rtp_cmd. The following FAR
provisions apply to this solicitation: 52.212-1, Instructions to
Offerors-Commercial Items; 52.212-3 Offerors Representations and
Certifications-Commercial Items. The award will be based on price and
demonstration of past experience as indicated by publications on
similar subject matter. Past publications involving similar subject
matter shall be documented in 2 pages or less. Award will be made to
the offeror that provides the best value to the Government. Allofferors
are to include with their offers a completed copy of provision
52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items.
The following FAR clauses apply to this acquisition 52.212-4, Contract
