The purpose of this project is to build a digital vegetative inventory based on Government furnished Vegetative Community Polygons (VCPs) initially captured on aerial photography. The specific task is to transfer and attribute VCP's from the aerial photos into an ARCINFO coverage. The operator screen-digitizes the polygons while referring to the aerial photos while using digital orthophotos as a background on screen. The contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, supervision, transportation, and operating supplies other than Government furnished materials and incidentals. The Manti-LaSal National Forest is located in Price, Utah, approximately 70 miles east of Provo. The current rate of production for digitizing and attributing the Government furnished VCP's from aerial photos into ARC INFO is 1 person 2 weeks per quad. Each full quad has approximately 2,000 community polygons. This solicitation is set-aside for small business. Estimated issue date is 8/4/00.
