The Stratton VA Medical Center, Albany, NY is seeking qualified firms who have the ability to provide all labor, supervision and management to perform textile care services and distribution services utilizing Government-Owned, Contractor-Operated facilities (GOCO), for approximately 1,500,00 pounds (clean weight) of textiles. Services to include the (1) processing of textiles, which include patient clothing, uniforms, sheets, towels,and other specialty & general linen; (2) distribution of finished laundry, and (3) sanitation of the Textile Care Facility. Major duties to be performed include: sorting by textile classification, weighing, counting, sorting, washing, loading, folding, and delivering to various locations. Processing records will also be maintained by the successful offeror. The successful offeror will be required to perform laundry services in accordance with the best practices of the laundry industry and all applicable federal & VA laundry, safety, and health regulations. For the purposes of determining business size, the SIC Code for this proposed opportunity is #7219, Laundry & Garment Services, NEC, and the average annual receipts is not more than $5 Million for the past three preceding fiscal years. Contract award will depend upon an evaluation with other cost proposals received for providing laundry services through a contractor-owned contractor-operated process.
