BURKETT, Contracting Officer, (540) 983-1084 VA Medical Center, Salem Virginia has a requirement for a Board Certified Optometrist to provide detailed diagnostic, therapeutic and rehabilitation procedures. Licensure shall include authorization to use therapeutic pharmaceutical agents. Optometrist shall be required to make appropriate use of laboratory and radiologic testing in the diagnosis and management of ocualr disorders. Contract shall be for six (6) months, with an option to extend for an additional six (6) months. Tour of duty shall be Monday through Friday 8:00AM to 4:30PM. Optometrist providing services under the resultant contract shall meet all professional certifications and licensing as required. The qualifications of such personnel shall also be subject to review and approval by the VAMC Chief of Staff. This acquisition is unrestricted and SIC code 8099 applies.
