71 -- LIBRARY FURNITURE- NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD The requesting agency requires four 60"X36"X25.25" (Height x Length x Depth) starter shelves, and fifteen extension shelves of equal proportion. Each of these bookshelves must be double-sided and accompanied by four shelves, as well as the top shelf. The bookshelves require 32 divider-type shelves, for children's "Easy Books." The Agency requires eleven starter shelves, 82"x36"x25.25", and sixty-five extension sections, of equal proportion. These bookshelves are for mid-floor display, and thus must be double-sided as well. Each bookshelf is to be accompanied by 6 shelves plus top shelf. The Agency requires three single-faced starter bookshelves, 82"x36"xl3.125", as well as seven single-faced extension sections of same dimension. These bookshelves need 6 shelves, plus the top shelf. The Agency requires two starter sections, 72"x36"xl2.125", single-faced, with 5 shelves plus top shelf. One additional extension section of same dimensions and number of shelves is required. The requesting agency requires one 82"x36"xl3.125" wall shelving Magazine Display starter section, single-faced. To accompany this starter, 3 extension sections of equivalent dimensions are required. Both the extension and starter sections are to have 6 sloping display shelves plus top and bottom shelf. 16 Sloped periodical shelves with spring-hinged acrylic covers are required for newspaper display. The circulation desk is designed to be modular as well, to allow the opportunity to redesign for efficiency. It consists of several 135-degree angled sections and 180-degree straight sections. Two closed-based 49.25"x29.75"x29" (Height x Length x Depth) desk units are required, each furnished with wire-manager J-channels (to avoid tangling and excessive wear on wires for the computers.) Each of these desk sections will require desk shelves/risers, 49.25"x 12.75" x 39.5". Two 135-degree rounded outside corner desk units with 58.6875" outside radius and 27.1875" inside radius are required, as well as 135-degree rounded outside corner risers to fit. For automated resource check in and check out, two computer desks are needed. The computer desks are to be 49.25" x 29.75 x 39.5", and 67" x 23.4375" x 39.5", for book check out and check in, respectively, both coming with wire-manager J-channels. For every desk unit equipped with wire-manager J-channels, a 3.125" wiring grommet is required, for a total of six grommets. Two pullout keyboard shelves on extension slides, 25.625" x 13.625", are required for both computer desks. Three 4 drawer office pedestals are required for filing and organization. These are to be 19.25" x 23.4375" x 26.5625", and shall fit interchangeably under the various desk sections. A book return section of desk, 39" x 30" x 29.75", with book chute in front, 3" H x 12.75" W, is required for physical return of media. To be used in conjunction with this is a book bin truck with depressible top (to fit the book return unit) and full swivel casters. The dimensions of the truck are to be 20.75" x 34" x 29". Two finished end panels, 29" x 29.75", are required, for either end of the circulation desk.
