COMMERCE BUSINESS DAILY ISSUE OF JULY 13,2000 PSA#2641 "TEN CITY TOUR 2000" The U.S. General Services Administration's (GSA)
Office of Enterprise Development in collabration with the Federal
Supply Service is sponsoring a "Ten City Tour 2000" particularly for
women-owned small businesses interested in becoming FSS Schedules
Contract Holders. The Federal Supply Schedules Programs is a $10.5
billion program and currently has more than 7,000 schedule contract
holders. Our tour objective is to increase the participation of women
business owners and specifically use this outreach event as a means of
meeting and exceeding the Administration's 5 percent goal established
for women entrepreneurs. Small, minority, 8(a), HUBZone, and
veteran-owned businesses will find these tour briefings instructive
also, and they are welcome. The tour will be held on July 11, 2000, the
Hartford, CT, at the Hartford Hilton, 315 Trumbull Street, Hartford, CT
06103. This half-day workshop begin with registraion from 8:00-8:30a.m.
GSA experts will provide detailed information to attendees on how to
prepare a quality Schedules offer. Registration is $15 CASH ONLY to be
