This project consists of reconditioning 4 miles of existing road in preparation of placing government furnished roadbase. Work will include: Loading, hauling, placing, watering, and compacting roadbase to achieve a 6 inch compacted surface on FDR number 70083, Smith basin, Roundy basin road. The roadbase gravel is available in the Trout Creek gravel pit along State Highway 40 on the north side of Strawberry Reservoir. An option to this solicitation will be to prepare the haul route, Co-Op Creek road, for placement of magnesium chloride (government furnished and applied). This will include reconditioning and watering ten miles of road bed in preparation of application of the dust palliative. This solicitation is expected to be issued on 8/1/00. This procurement is between $100,000 and $250,000.
