657-6222 Chamberlain Creek Fish Barrier -- The project consists of
designing and constructing a permanent fish barrier on Chamberlain
Creek in a designated location to replace an experimental barrier
currently installed. Access may be difficult for most vehicles and
certain heavy equipment. The barrier shall consist of a concrete or
natural rock (or combination thereof) structure which confines the
stream channel in such a way as to create a jumping barrier at least
three feet high for resident trout. This barrier shall be functional at
all flows up to a 50-year interval flood and capable of surviving a
100-year interval flood. The estimated price range is $25,000 --
$100,000. The estimated start date is 09/15/00 with 365 calendar days
for completion. This project is NOT set-aside for small business
concerns. There will be a prebid showing on 8/25/00 at the project
