Scope of Work is to repair Fuels Maintenance Hangar AFFF System, Bldgs
193/217 at Homestead Air reserve Station, Miami-Dade County,
Homestead, and Florida. The base is located approximately thirty miles
south of Miami, Fl. The work includes repair to the existing AFFF fire
suppression system for Building 193, to include the water storage tank,
AFFF storage tanks, piping system (valves, nozzles, meter, gauges,
etc.), pump engines/fuel tanks, control systems, etc. The existing AFFF
shall be restored to proper operating conditions and in compliance with
all Air Force ETLs and National Fire protection Association Standards.
The work shall be accomplished by a Florida licensed contractor, with
proof of previous satisfactory experience for completed hangar fire
suppression systems of similar magnitude. The acquisition is for a
Firmed-Fixed-Price contract. The SIC is 1731. Magnitude of construction
is estimated to be between $100K -- $250K. Project performance period
is 90 calendar days. It is anticipated that the solicitation will be
issued on or about 28 Jul 00. Dates are for estimating purposes only,
and may be revised as indicated in the Request for Proposal(RFP). This
solicitation is unrestricted and is open to large, small, small
disadvantaged, and woman owned business concerns. Proposal will be
evaluated pursuant to FAR 15.101-2, Lowest Price Technically Acceptable
Proposals. All requests for the solicitation package must be made in
writing. Telephone requests will not be accepted. Interested forms may

PRIOR TO AWARD OF A FEDERAL GOVERNMENT CONTRACT. OFFERORS ARE FURTHER
ADVISED THAT FAILURE TO REGISTER OR FAILURE TO UPDATE REGISTRATION
ANNUALLY, WILL RENDER YOUR FIRM INELIGIBLE FOR ANY FEDERAL GOVERNMENT
