capable of supplying airline seats, either new residual (excess)
manufacturer inventories for liquidation, or refurbished-as-new
equipment. The basic requirement will be for two (2) line items --
Business class seat pairs and economy or coach class seat pairs and
triplets. Seat mounting is per standard Boeing mounts, track spacing
between mounts is 20 1/4". Desired color is medium blue or medium gray
fabric. Printed fabric of those color families is acceptable. A more
detailed requirements description will be developed for the resulting
solicitation. The Government is interested in new seating only if
available at prices competitive with refurbished items. Refurbished
seating ust be completely restored to serviceable like-new condition to
include mechanical operation, all safety devices required by law and
fabric condition. Any source interested in participating in this
upcoming competitive procurement should send or fax company
information, product literature and catalog cuts or drawings that
clearly show a representative of the products that the firm is capable
of providing to the individual listed in this synopsis no later than
27 July 00. At the close of this segment of Market Research, a
commercial item solicitation will be advertised -- all companies
responding to this Sources-Sought announcement will be automatically
placed on the solicitation distribution list. The Government will not
release additional more-detailed specifications of this future
procurement prior to the release of the solicitation, and as such, no
technical point of contact is identified herein. The solicitation is
estimated to be released via combined synopsis/solicitation on or about
