The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) at Patuxent River, Maryland, has a requirement for a Multiple Path Beyond Line of Site Communications Network (MUBLCOM) data compression platform in support of the Marine Corps Warfighting Laboratory in Quantico, Virginia. In order to meet this requirement, the Government intends to contract on a sole source basis with ViaCast Networks, Incorporated, 9639 Doctor Perry Road, Suite 119N, Ijamsville, Maryland 21754, for 25 each IP Companion 1500Vs with user documentation. Request for quotation N00421-00-Q-0428 will be submitted to ViaCast Networks and the anticipated contract award date is no later than 25 August 2000. The applicable SIC code is 3663. This contract action would develop a military adaptation of the industry data compression techniques and satisfy Marine Corps requirements.
