FED-STD-595B, dated December 15, 1989, and Change Notice 1, dated
January 11,1994, color number 16473. Size -- 3.78 liters (1 gallon)
can. Age on delivery shall not exceed 3 months. Date of reinspection
shall be 24 months from date of manufacture. ITEM MARKING (1) National
Stock Number (NSN). (2) Specification number (Including type, class,
and color number) as applicable. (3) Manufacturer's name and part
number. (4) Lot and Batch Number. (5) Date of Manufacture and date of
expiration or reinspection (month and year). (6) Instructions for use.
(7) Storage Instructions. (8) Maximum Volatile Organic Compound (VOC)
Content (less water and exempt solvents) in grams per liter and pounds
per gallon. PACKAGING The product shall be furnished in the units
indicated and packaged as follows: GALLONS AND QUARTS: Material shall
be furnished in round, compound lined double-seamed end metal cans with
multiple friction closure of the type normally used for the product.
FIVE GALLON CANS: Material shall be furnished in new removable head
metal shipping pails meeting the requirements of the Department of
Transportation regulations and the International Maritime Dangerous
Goods Code. For products not subject to the Performance Packaging
requirements of these regulations, a minimum pail thickness of 24 gauge
is required. All containers shall be such that there will be no
interaction chemically or physically with the contents so as to damage
the container or alter the strength, quality or purity of the
contents. One and five gallon containers shall be provided with a bail
type handle in accordance with normal commercial practice. The filled
containers shall be closed in a manner that will insure that the
contents will not spill or leak from the container during shipment,
handling, storage and redistribution. Closure of each quart can shall
be secured by non-spill devices [four (4) evenly spaced clips or
overseal ring] in accordance with 49CFR173.6(b)(4). Material packaged
as specified above shall be packed in a close-fitting, corrugated,
fiberboard box conforming to Section 6(a), Rule 41 of the Uniform

accordance with Federal Specification TT-E-516A, dated January 7, 1969;

QPL-TT-E-516-10, dated April 2, 1986. Composition L -- Limited use.
Color Yellow in accordance with FED-STD-595B, dated December 15, 1989,
and Change Notice 1, dated January 11,1994, color number 33538. Size
-- 3.78 liters (1 gallon) can. Age on delivery shall not exceed 3
months. Date of reinspection shall be 24 months from date of
manufacture. EXCEPTION (S) TO TECHNICAL DOCUMENT 1. Page 3, para.

3.78 liters (1.0 gallon) of paint. A bail type-shipping handle shall be
provided in accordance with normal commercial practice. PACKAGING Shall
be in accordance with ASTM D 3951-95. PACKING Shall be in accordance
with ASTM D 3951-95. MARKING All unit, intermediate, transport packages
and unit loads shall be marked for delivery to civilian activities in
accordance with the FED-STD-123G, dated June 6, 1997, or marked for
delivery to military activities in accordance with MIL-STD-129N, dated
15, May, 1997, as applicable. 8010-00-515-2208 UI: GL PRIMER COATING,
ALKYD BASE, ONE COMPONENT: DESCRIPTION In accordance with Federal
Specification TT-P-1757B, dated May 15, 1997. Type I -- Volatile
content consists of non-photochemically reactive solvents. Class C --
Contains Chromate based corrosion-inhibitors. Color Y -- Deep yellow.
Size -- 3.78 liters (1 gallon) can. Age on delivery shall not exceed
three months. Date of reinspection is 24 months after the date of
manufacture EXCEPTION (S) TO TECHNICAL DOCUMENT Reduced testing is
permitted in accordance with paragraph 6.2.1 of TT-P-1757B. ITEM
MARKING In addition to the marking required by TT-P-1757B paragraphs

Pallet Sizes: Unless otherwise specified, the pallets shall be 48" X
40" or 40" X 48" in length and width. Exceptions such as 48" X 48" will
be used only with the concurrence of the Office of Distribution
Management (FS). Pallet Type Options: Unless otherwise specified, the
pallets shall be one of the following two options: 1. PPP-P-1660A, Type
I, Type IA, Type II, or Type III. The following designs are acceptable:
Style 2 and 7, Class B or C, Grade 2, Sizes 40" x 48", 48" x 40", 4 way
(block post) or partial 4 way entry (stinger), non-reversible. 2. ASME
MH1.8M-1996, Wood Pallets, An American National Standard. Class 1 and
2, Category 2, Type 3, Style 2, Bottom Deck 1, Sizes 40" x 48" and 48"
x 40" Pallet Load Size: The load plus the pallet shall have a maximum
height of 53 inches and shall not exceed 2500 pounds in weight.
Exceptions to this requirement shall have the concurrence of the Office
of Distribution Management. Pallet Load Configuration: The containers
or items shall be placed in a suitable pattern to form a stable and
balanced load. Then vertical, horizontal, or filler reinforcement shall
be added as necessary to provide the strength necessary to support
three additional palletized loads. Stacking Strength: The pallet plus
the load shall be capable of supporting three additional like loads
without any product damage and without the load or the pallet
collapsing. Palletized Load Stacking Test: The palletized load as
presented for shipment shall be tested for stackability. The test load
shall be placed on a rigid surface with three additional loads stacked
on top for 24 hours. The tester has the option of simulating the three
additional loads with a like pallet and weight equaling three like
loads. Example: If the pallet load weighs 1000 pounds then 3000 pounds
on a like pallet, shall be stacked on the test load for 24 hours. Test
personnel shall be responsible to test in compliance with National and
local safety regulations. Testing need not be repeated as long as the
palletized load design and materials do not change. Partial Palletized
Loads: Less than one-half pallet loads do not require testing. Shall
not be used for stacking, unless load is balanced on pallet. The
partial palletized load shall be used for top loading only.

applicable. 8010-00-584-3154 UI: PT ENAMEL: DESCRIPTION In accordance
with Interim Commercial item Description A-A-00665B, dated September
16, 1987. Color Green in accordance with FED-STD-595B, dated December
15, 1989, and Change Notice 1, dated January 11,1994, color number
14491. Size -- 473 milliliters (1 pint) can. Age on delivery shall not
exceed 3 months. Date of reinspection shall be 24 months from date of

quality or purity of the contents. Each can shall be provided with a
removable/replaceable metal or full sized, double shell, plastic cap
adequate to protect the dispenser in accordance with normal commercial
practice. The filled cans shall be closed in a manner that will insure
that the contents will not spill or leak from the container during
shipment, handling, storage and redistribution. PACKING Twelve cans of
material packaged as specified above shall be packed in a
close-fitting corrugated fiberboard box conforming to Section 6(a),
Rule 41 of the Uniform Freight Classification and Item 222 of the
National Motor Freight Classification. Closure of the boxes shall be in
accordance with Section 7 of Rule 41 of the Uniform Freight
