SK2 Ted Robey 12. N/A 13. N/A 14. N/A 15. N/A 16. N/A 17. The U.S.
Coast Guard, Assistant Commandant for Operations, Operations Capability
Directorate, Office of Command & Control Architecture is processing a
requirement to purchase SARSIM-qualified ADP services to correct
discrepancies, implement identified enhancements, and identify and
implement new requirements to the current Search and Rescue Simulation
Model (SARSIM) in order to enhance end user operability. The tasks to
be completed in the software maintenance and enhancement phase of the
Search and Rescue Simulation model are to correct minor discrepancies
identified after successful completion of the acceptance testing phase
of the original development contract. These discrepancies are minor in
nature and are considered typical in a complex simulation software
development effort. While the SARSIM model works as delivered, these
corrections will allow end users to more easily exploit the full
functionality of the model. Additionally, during the course of
development and testing, new SARSIM enhancements were identified to
further extend the capabilities of the model. Development of these
enhancements is included in this software maintenance and enhancement
phase. The proposal is for services for which the Government intends to
solicit and negotiate on a sole source basis with CACI, Inc-Federal,
1100 North Glebe Rd. Arlington, Va. 22201. Interested persons may
identify their interest and capability notice of intent, however this
is not a request for competitive quotations. All quotations must be
received via fax: (202) 267-4727 Attn Teddy Robey, SK2, USCG, or John
K. Macy, SKC, USCG by July 18, 2000. A determination has been made by
the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon
responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the
Government. Information received will be considered solely for the
purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
