J -- PERFORM ADVANCE PLANNING AND PRODUCTION EFFORTS FOR THE FY 2001 EXTENDED DOCKING SELECTED RESTRICTED AVAILABILITY (EDSRA) FOR THE USS NORMANDY (CG-60) IN THE EAST & GULF COAST AREA SOL N00024-00-R-8508 POC Contract Specialist, Aaron Ford, SEA 0285F (703) 602-7714, Contracting Officer, Rochelle Allen, SEA 0285A, (703) 602-7714 The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) intends to issue a solicitation for the accomplishment of the advance planning and production efforts necessary to perform the FY 2001 Extended Docking Selected Restricted Availability (EDSRA) for the USS NORMANDY (CG-60), homeported in Norfolk, VA. This effort will be restricted to companies holding Master Ship Repair Agreements (MSRA) and the place of performance for this availability will be restricted to the East and Gulf Coasts. Only one award will result from this solicitation. The contract award winner will not be offered the use of any Navy-owned dry-docks or other facilities. For that reason, offerors will be responsible for securing and providing all necessary facilities (i.e. dry-dock, pier, utilities, etc.) to accomplish the EDSRA. The solicitation and all related documents and exhibits will be posted in early August 2000 on the Internet at the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) Contracts Directorate Website located at http://www.contracts.hq.navsea.navy.mil. The documents will be posted under the heading Year 2000 Solicitations and under the proposed solicitation number N00024-00-R-8508. The solicitation package can then be downloaded or printed at the offeror's expense and convenience.
