This notice corrects the announcement printed in the CBD July 5, 2000,
SOL Reference No. F04606-95-D-0033 (CITE: D-182 SN470654), from a
one-year contract extension to a six-month contract extension with two
three-month options. All else within the original posting remains the
same.*****The Space and Missile Systems Center intends to negotiate a
one-year contract extension on a non-competitive basis with
AlliedSignal Technical Services Corporation (ATSC) for continued depot
support and sustainment for the portion of the Air Force Satellite
Control Network/Common User Element that is under the cognizance of the
Air Force Material Command. The contract extension covers continuation
of services such as maintenance engineering, data management, on- and
off-site depot level maintenance, and software maintenance and
modification. This is an "all or none" requirement. This
non-competitive extension will be used as a "stop-gap" effort in
support of a subsequent competitive acquisition for the Satellite
ControlNetwork Contract. See website
www.dwsc.stai.com/SLCSacq/index.htm for more information. No
solicitation for this extension exists nor will one be established.
Firms possessing the capabilities to perform the required services
described may identify themselves and submit supporting evidence to the
attention of the contracting officer within fifteen (15) calendar days
after the date of publication of this synopsis. Only written responses
will be considered. Verbal responses will not be accepted. Interested
parties should submit their responses to the following fax number:
(310) 363-1404. The final determination by the Government not to open
this requirement to competition based on any information provided is
solely within the discretion of the Government. (See Note 26.)*****
