Specialist, MerdithBC@efdlant.navfac.navy.mil. The Officer in Charge
requires the Contractor to provide all labor, supervision, tools,
materials, equipment, transportation and managment necessary to provide
water treatment to various builings at the Naval Medical Center,
Portsmouth, Virginia. The Contractor shall be thorough familiar with
basic water treatment chemistry and terminology. The Contractor must
show work experience related to Hospital water treatment facilities,
experience must be relative to the treatment of boiler and cooling
water systems, open and closed loop systems, and HVAC opeations. Also
Contractor shall show proof of knowledge of basic chemistry, organic
chemistry, chemical properites, environmental sampling, and water
treatment operations. Work will be accomplished by a firm fixed
price/indefinite quantity type contract for a period of 12 months. The
Government shall have the options to extend the term of the contract
services for four additional periods of 12 months. The total contract
term, including the exercise of any options shall not exceed 60 months.
The applicable Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) is 7389 and the
standard size is $5M. This solicitation is unrestricted. The (IFB) will
be posted on the NAVFACENGCOM Electronic Solicitation (E-Sol) web site
on or about 15 August 2000. Estimated bid opening date is 15 September
