E-MAIL: Sue Messina, susan.messina@uspto.gov. The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) has a requirement for health unit services in it's two Arlington (Crystal City), Virginia locations. The USPTO anticipates award of a firm fixed price contract with a one-year base period and four one-year option periods. These services will include, but are not limited to, the following: medical care (emergency treatment), medical care for work-related injuries and illnesses, medical care for non-work related illness during working hours, pre-employment and other examinations, preventive health programs, and health education. The staff for the health unit will serve the entire USPTO community which currently consists of approximately 5,600 employees. This acquisition is expected to be awarded under Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code 8011 as a total small business set-aside. Award is expected in September with performance commencing October 2, 2000.
