Johnson Department of Veteran Affairs Medical Center intends to award a contract for general anesthesiology services. This is considered to be an emergency contract for an approximate 5 month time frame. The anesthesiologist must be board certified. This is a combined synosis/solicitation for a commercial item service prepared in accordance with the format in Far subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in the notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is RFP 534-49-00 and is issued as a request for proposal. Solicitation documents and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-18. This procurement is Unrestricted SIC 8011. Contractor shall provide anesthesiology services for this Medical Center on an hourly basis from date of award/credentialing/privileging through 12/31/2000. This is to be a firm fixed price contract with an all inclusive hourly rate. Services will be five (5) days per week, 7:00 a.m. until 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, with on-call approximately 7 days per month and one weekend (Saturday and Sunday) per month. Please address an overtime rate for anytime worked over 8 hours per day. Curriculum vitae should be included with credentials. Payments will be on certified invoices in arrears.
