S -- - NOTICE OF INTENT TO NEGOTIATE A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT WITH THE NORTH PACIFIC SCIENCE ORGANIZATION. Notice of intent to negotiate a sole source contract with the North Pacific Marine Science Organization (PICES) for the Alaska Fisheries Science Center (AFSC). Purpose of contract is to develop and publish a document entitled "History of Exploration of the North Pacific." The development of this product requires coordination of a multi-person/multi-country effort. PICES is in a unique position to undertake the task due to fact that its mission is to facilitate performance of multi-country scientific activities. This notice may be the only notice.
