for competition restricted to those 8(a) program participants served
by the U.S. Small Business Administration's (SBA) district offices in
the Washington Metropolitan area. Contact an SBA district office to
determine eligibility. Sealed bids from all eligible business concerns
will be accepted for District of Columbia Department of Public Works
Project DC NH-9999(980) in Washington, DC. The project consists of
roadway resurfacing; curb, gutter, and sidewalk reconstruction; utility
and lighting reconstruction; and drainage work on the following
District of Columbia streets:14th Street, NW.; from Pennsylvania Avenue
to New York Avenue; E Street, NW., from 18th Street to 20th Street; New
York Avenue, from North Capitol Street to 3rd Street; Wisconsin Avenue,
NW., from Massachusetts Avenue to Woodley Road; 16th Street, NW., from
Primrose Road to North Portal Drive; Branch Avenue, SE., from Camden
Street to Erie Street The project is expected to fall within the price
range of $5,000,000 to $10,000,000. Bid documents are scheduled to be
issued on or about August 1, 2000. Bids will be due on or about

working capital financing and bonding assistance for transportation

Short-Term Lending Program (STLP) offers lines of credit to finance
accounts receivable. Maximum line of credit is $500,000 with interest
