This project consists of constructing 1,015 feet of a waterline system
from the town main waterline tee to the campground supply line at the
Markleeville sanitation lagoons. The project includes installing all
valves, drainlines, and other related miscellaneous items. The project
is on the Carson Ranger District and can be accessed as follows: From
Gardnerville, Nevada, take State Highway 88 south for approx. 14
miles. Turn south onto State Highway 89 and travel approx. 6 miles to
Markleeville. Continue through town, and the start of the project is in
the Forest Service Administrative site located on the left before the
bridge over Markleeville Creek. A pre-bid meeting will take place in
the office building at the Forest Service Administrative Site in
Markleeville, CA; time and place to be determined. The estimated start
work date is 9/18/00, with 75 calendar days for completion. The est.
price range is between $25,000 and $100,000. This proposed procurement
is under the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program.
