The Puerto Rico Air National Guard offers the construction of the Parking Apron Addition, PN: TUMR 989014 to be constructed at the Muniz Air National Guard Base, Carolina, Puerto Rico. The SIC Code is 1629, the Small Business Size Standard is $17,000,000.00. A Pre-bid Conference shall be held on August 9, 2000, at 1:00 p.m., on Muniz Air National Guard Base, CE Building #25, Carolina, Puerto Rico. The pre-bid conference is not mandatory, but all interested parties are encouraged to attend. The solicitation package shall be available o/a 31 July 2000. Bid Opening Date shall be held Friday, September 1, 2000, at 2:00 p.m. CST,local time, at the USPFO for Nebraska, 1234 Military Road, Lincoln, Nebraska. A Bid repository shall be available in the Contracting Office, at 1234 Military Road, Lincoln, Nebraska for hand delivered bid packages. All bid packages are required to identify on the outside of the package, the solicitation number and Project Name, "Parking Apron Addition, Muniz Air National Guard Base,Puerto Rico". Bid packages can be mailed to USPFO for Nebraska, 1234 Military Road, ATTN: CW2 Carrie Hancock, Contracting, Lincoln, Nebraska 68508-1092. This project consists of the removal and replacement of concrete and bituminous concrete pavements and all inclusive work required to complete the construction as indicated in the drawings and specifications. Security Fencing, Electrical, Sewer, Fire Hydrants, Man Hole installations and other construction will be a part of the construction. Two options shall be included as pricing in the bid package, Option 1 is for ramp lighting; Option 2 is for additional pavement to be installed. The performance period for the project, including the options shall be 180 Calendar days. The prime contractor shall be responsible for all work as indicated on the drawings and in the specifications, and any work incidental to the project that is required to be completed in order for the contractor to provide the Government a complete and useable project. Contractor shall be required to coordinate with Local Airport Authorities, other contractors working within same vicinity and Air National Guard security personnel. Dollar Magnitude of the construction project is $1,000,000 -- $5,000,000.00. All large businesses are required to submit a Small Disadvantaged Business Subcontracting Plan as per FAR Part 19.702 within 10 calendar days of written notice from the Contracting officer. Failure to submit the subcontracting plan as required, shall be grounds for rejection of the contractor's bid. As per FAR Part 19.1300 the solicitation shall allow for HUBZONE business preference in the evaluation of each bid. All interested parties are encouraged to request the bid documents.
