The work to be done includes but is not limited to the following:
Provide and install new DECA decor package throughout the sales area;
expand the sales area into the warehouse for a produce sales alcove and
damaged merchandise room; expand existing deli service area into
existing produce processing to accommodate hot foods department;
convert existing produce operating supply storage room into new hot
Foods Prep room; re-lamp the lighting in the sales area; completely
replace the refrigeration equipment including the compressor racks,
heat recovery for HVAC and domestic hot water, unit coolers,
condensers, refrigeration piping, refrigeration monitoring control
system; some HVAC, plumbing and associated electrical work is also
required. Replace sales area gondola shelving, warehouse/receiving
doors, and dock levelers. This project also includes miscellaneous
repairs, replacement of rigid wall covering, as well as some hazardous
material abatement. Phasing of overall construction work will be
required throughout the duration of the project to allow for full
operation of the commissary. Proposed procurement is open to both large
and small business concerns. The magnitude of construction is between
$1M and $5M. Bid guarantee is required. Bid package should be available
on or about 1 Aug 2000. Request for solicitation packages must include
the 9-digit zip code. Time for project completion is approximately 10
months. This project will be a Performance Price Tradeoff (PPT)
procurement procedure. Proposals will be evaluated on past performance
and price. Award of this project is subject to the availability of
