This Solicitation is for an Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity, (IDIQ) type contract for protective coatings maintenance at Ellsworth AFB, SD. The work covered by this Statement of Work consists of furnishing all labor, materials, tools, equipment, supplies, supervision, quality control, and administration to provide interior and exterior protective coatings for various base facilities. Buildings could be occupied during painting operations. Work includes, but is not limited to: painting of partial and complete interiors and exteriors to include trim, sand blasting, water blasting, repainting of fire systems, striping of parking lots, cross walks, roadways, painting street arrows, painting of airfield runway, taping, bedding, texturing walls and ceilings, and the installation of vinyl wall coverings. The magnitude of this project is between $500,000 and $1,000,000 per year. The performance period will begin 1 Jan 2001 or date of award and continue for 365 days after with one option year period. The Standard Industrial Code is 1721. This action is open competition to both large and small business. This project is tentatively scheduled to be issued 15 August 2000. Evaluation of this solicitation will be based on past performance being more important than price. Award will be based on the best value to the Government. This will be an Internet only solicitation.
