Item 1 is clarified to read: 1000 watt enhanced ultraviolet solar
simulator, 8 inch x 8 inch beam size, dichroic mirror system which
absorbs 80% of the incident infrared radiation, Lamp housing easily
changed to produce vertical or horizontal beam, simulator to produce
ultraviolet radiation from 250 nm to 400 nm, photons produced below 250
nm are desirable, Intensity to be variable from 1 to 10 UV suns at Air
Mass Zero at a distance of 3 feet from the lamp housing, Intensities
of greater than 10 UV suns are desirable, but not required, Provide
spectral data of simulator output showing W/sq.m/nm -vs- Photon
wavelength, Lamp housing to be compatible and operate using Commercial
Off-The-Shelf (COTS) 1 KW Xe or HgXe lamps such as ORC model
HVF1000-3, ignitor external to lamp housing, power supply to operate
lamp to be included, power supply to operate with 220 VAC 1 phase or
110 VAC 1 phase, Oriel Model Number 91294 or equal. QUANTITY: 1 each.
PREVIOUSLY, Item 1 read as follows: 1000 Watt enhanced ultraviolet
solar simulator, 8 inch x 8 inch beam size, dichroic mirror system
which abosrbs 80% infrared radiation, lamp housing easily changed to
produce vertical or horizontal beam, transmits ultraviolet radiation
from 210 nm to 400 nm, ignitor external to lamp housing, power supply
to operate lamp included, power supply to operate with 220 vac 1phase
oriel model number 91294. Quantity 1 each. Line Item 2 remains
unchanged, and reads as follows: Air Mass 0 outer space filter,
corrects the output of a xenon lamp to better match the solar spectrum
found outside the earth's atmosphare, compatible with item 1, Oriel
Model Number 81011 (*OR EQUIVALENT.) QUANTITY: 1 each. As stated above,
the closing date for receipt of quotations is extended to CLOSE OF
BUSINESS July 26, 2000. Any responses received after this date WILL NOT
