The third annual Interagency Disability Educational Awareness Showcase (IDEAS) will be on Tuesday, October 17, and Wednesday October 18, 2000 from 9a.m. to 4 p.m. This National Disability Employment Awareness Month event will take place at the USDA Whitten Building Patio on 1400 Independence Ave., SW in Washington, DC IDEAS 2000 is presented by the Department of Agriculture with the co-sponsorship of Presidential Task Force on Employment of Adults with Disabilities, the General Services Administration and several other government agencies in order to promote assistive technology in the workforce. This millennium event supports current federal government initiatives for promotion of employment for people with disabilities under Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act. We are inviting designers and manufacturers of assistive technology to participate in IDEAS 2000. This is an excellent opportunity for companies that offer specialized assistive products to display and demonstrate them in highly visible surroundings. There are no exhibitors' fees.
