This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared
in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with
additional information included by electronic notice. Electronic
solicitations may be obtained at the following URL:

solicitation will also be available at the URL address. The electronic
announcemnt constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being
requested and written solicitation will not be issued. Offerors are
advised that they are responsible for obtaining amendments. If you are

number. The Department of Veterans Affairs, White River Jct., VT is
soliciting proposals to provide 1 FTE Primary Care Physician for the
period August 1, 2000, through October 31, 2000, with three 3-month
options to renew the contract. The individual will be assigned to the
Community Based Outpatient Clinic at the Vermont State Veterans Home,
Bennington, VT. The solicitation number is 405-74-00. This solicitation
is issued as an RFP. The solicitation document and incorporated
provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition
Circular 97-16. The acquisition is unrestricted. The standard
industrial classification (SIC) is 8011. Requirement is to provide 1
full time Primary Care Physician. Any individual proposed to provide
services under this contract must hold the credentials of a board
certified or board eligible medical practitioner in internal medicine,
geriatric, or other specialty related to family practice medicine.
Physicians who maintain a board eligible status shall complete their
certification process and obtain board certified status within four
years of completing their residency. The physician shall be licensed in
the State of Vermont, or provide documentation of their application for
Vermont licensing. All responses are due no later than 7/24/00.
Evaluations will be made on availability, qualifications, past
performance, price, and small disadvantaged business participation.
