synopsis/solicitation for commercial services prepared in accordance
with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6,
as supplemented with additional information included in this notice.
This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals/price
quotes are being requested in response to this publication and a
written solicitation will NOT be issued. This synopsis/solicitation is
being issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ) # 1CO-0284. This
synopsis/solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses
are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) #
97-18. This requirement is a 100% small business set-aside under
Standard Industrial Code (SIC) 7011. The Federal Bureau of Prisons is
seeking the services of a Lodging/Conference facility to accomodate the
National Institute of Correction's Executive Training for Deputy
Directors October 16-20, 2000 within in reasonable commuting distance
of New York's Manhattan Downtown area (10 miles). Hotel shall contain
eating and banquet facilities. Breaks offered by the hotel in
conjunciton with meeting/conference room shall be included in the cost
of the rental of the room. Please fax price quotes (and any other

Officer, no later than 12:00 Noon on July 31, 2000. Please provide
quotes based on the following: (1) 10/16/00 -- 30 EA Single Occupancy
Lodging rooms,(2) 10/17/00 -- 10/19/00 -- 150 EA Single Occupancy
Lodging rooms, (3) Meals as follows: Tuesday, October 17th -- Banquet
Meal for 55 people, Wednesday, October 18th -- Breakfast, Lunch &
Dinner for 50 people, Thursday, October 19th -- Breakfast & Lunch for
50 people, Friday, October 20th -- Breakfast & Lunch (Box Lunch) for 50
people, (4) 1 Meeting room -- minimum 2,500 square feet to accomodate
10 round tables with 5 participants per table, (5) Audio Visual
Equipment as follows: VCR and Monitor -- 27 or 32" -- 1 EA for4 days,
Overhead projector -- 1 EA for 4 days, Projection Screen -- 1 EA for 4
days, Flipcharts and pads -- 2 EA for 4 days, Microphone -- 1 EA only
if necessary. The clauses and provisions at Federal Acquisition
Regulation (FAR) 52.212-1, 52.212-4 and 52.212-5 apply to this
acquisition. The applicable FAR provisions and clauses described herein
will not be provided by the Contracting Officer. Copies of these
clauses and provisions can be obtained from the Bureau of Prions's Web
Site at www.bop.gov, click on the Aquisitions Link. A completed copy
of FAR 52.212-3 will be required. This will be provided by the
Contracting Officer to the offeror with the proposal most advantageous
to the Government prior to award. Award of this requirement will be
based on price and price related factors only. Questions regarding the
