The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst (NAWCADLKE) intends to procure Composite Repair Sets quantity of eight (8) Part Number 1935AS100-1, NSN 4920-01-304-2119 for the V-22 aircraft. Required delivery is 17 May 2001. The item is a Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) Non-Developmental-Item (NDI) used in support of Organizational and Intermediate land and shorebased maintenance activities. The Composite Repair Set is a means of providing controlled heat up to 350 degrees F and a minimum vacuum of 25 inch MG to the repair area during the adhesive cure cycle which is required to insure acceptable bonded repairs of the V-22 composite structures. The set includes: three zone heat control and recorder, one 30 foot input power cable, three 25 foot blanket power cables, nine 25 foot thermal couples, nine 3 foot thermal couples, one 30 foot air hose, one 25 foot vacuum hose, one 10 foot vacuum hose, one compressed air filter and moisture trap, one vacuum filter, two vacuum connectors, one vacuum gauge, six heat blankets ( 6 x 12, 6 x 12, 18 x 18, 12 x 18, 12 x 12 & 9 x 12) & tech manual 17-1-131. The Government is anticipating a Firm Fixed Priced type contract. All Composite Repair Tool Sets will be packaged in accordance with best commercial practices. Delivery shall be FOB Destination to Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWACAD) Lakehurst, NJ. The Government intends to procure as a Small Business Set Aside.
