Abb Stallings (910)251-4785 Seven 55 MVA, three phase, class OA/FA, 13.8/115 kV, generator step-up (GSU) power transformers will be purchased for the John H. Kerr Powerplant, located on the Roanoke River near Boydton, VA. The contractor will be required to (1) manufacture, (2) perform extensive tests at the factory, (3) ship to the railhead near the powerplant, (4) modify the powerplant's transfer car, if necessary (5) assemble the transformer, including filling with oil (and provide new oil into the oil storage tanks) and (6) perform minor tests in the field. The transformers are to replace existing GSU's, which will be removed by others.
