87 -- ANIMAL FEED SOL RFQ 580-07-01 DUE 081100 POC Cathy Edwards, (713) 794-7423 This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Request for Quote number 580-07-01 is assigned and should be referenced when responding. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-18. The applicable standard industrial classification code is 2048, size standard 500 employees. Contractor to provide animal feed that meets AALAC (American Association for Accreditation of Laboratory Animal Care) requirements along with meeting protein, fat, and fiber blends identified in the description of the required feed. Feed will be delivered with a shelf life of 30 days or more and will be received without any evidence of bugs, mildew or spoilage. The contractor will respond to delivery requests within 24 hours and deliver required products within three working days. All deliveries will be performed by competent personnel, experienced and qualified to identify and determine condition of feed. Service will be performed during normal working hours, 8:00 a.m. through 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding all federal holidays and any other day specifically declared by the President of the United Stated to be a national holiday. Payments will be made monthly, in arrears, upon receipt of a properly prepared invoice. Brand name or equal item descriptions are shown. Quotes should reflect the manufacture name, brand, and stock number for each item quoted.
