NAVSEA INDIAN HEAD SEEKS AN "OFF THE SHELF" TEMPERATURE AND HUMIDITY DATA LOGGER NAVSEA Indian Head, Surface Warfare Center Division is seeking an "off the shelf" temperature and humidity data logger with the following features and performance characteristics: Battery Life: 5 to 10 years, (the longer the better) Replacement battery: preferred, but not necessary Cost: Less than $200 per unit (based on a 5 year service life) Size: Smaller the better Shuttle to transport the data: Preferred Waterproof: Yes Sturdy design: Item will be shock and vibration tested Software: Excel compatible (Excel must be able to read the data) Blinking light to indicate logger is on: Preferred When shuttle is used, logger must continue recording after data retrieval Accuracy: Temp (+/- 2.2 F) Accuracy: Rel Hum (+/- 3%) Operating Temperature Range: -40 F to 160 F Any interested contractors are to submit one (1) or two (2) sample loggers, with software to Indian Head for verification of the above requirements. Once verification and performance characteristics are completed the Navy may select two (2) loggers for qualification testing. The two (2) candidates selected shall go through reliability testing, consisting of subjecting the loggers to 160 degrees F, for three (3) months. After the three (3) months the loggers will be re-tested, the results will then be compared to the results of the original testing. Interested organizations should contact Ariel F.
