NASA/GRC plans to issue a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for one year renewal of support for 93 Wonderware Licenses deployed at a single site, Microtek Intouch Foundations class, 3 days per person, Script Class, 1 day, on site, for up to 12 students, and Microtek one day Intouch SPC option advanced class, on site, for up to 12 students. This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). NASA/GRC intends to purchase the items from MICROTEK CONTROLS, 9241 RAVENNA ROAD, SUITE C-12, TWINSBURG, OH 44087, under the authority of 10 U.S.C.2304(c)(1) Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This is for the continuation of existing comprehensive support for a graphical operator interface that is currently operating 28 test facilities at Glenn Research Center. It is critical that support is maintained without interruption to reduce the risk of lost test run time in these facilities. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 4:30 p.m. local time on July 20, 2000. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government.
