This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial service prepared in accordance FAR PART Part 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. Solicitation number F05611-00-T-COOK is being issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 97-18. The Standard Industrial Classification Number is 7361, and the Business Size Standard is 500 employees. This solicitation is 100% small business set-aside. REQUESTERS MUST STATE THEIR BUSINESS SIZE ON EACH REQUEST. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. REQUIREMENTS: Cook, 3EA., Performs a variety of simple cooking tasks in field conditions cooking standardized recipes and cooking techniques and assists in preparing modified diet foods according to recipes. Use and maintain clean tools and equipment for accomplishment of well-defined, basic tasks. Utilizes health, safety, and sanitation practices, procedures, rules, and regulations to maintain a safe and clean work environment. Will be required to frequently lift and move items up to 40 pounds unassisted. Work requires continual standing and walking and frequent stooping, bending, reaching, pushing and pulling. DATES AND TIMES: 17 July 00 -- 30 Sept 00, 2 Cooks will report to Mitchell Hall from 1130AM -- 8:00PM Monday through Friday and 1 Cook will report to Mitchell Hall 3:00AM -- 1130AM Monday through Friday. All cooks must be healthy and free of any communicable disease. LOCATION: Mitchell Hall, 2350 Fairchild Drive, US Air Force Academy for Mitchell Hall or Jack's Valley.
