Firm fixed Price (FFP) Contract for Construction Services for construction of military facilities, Southern Infantry Training Base, in the vicinity of Beersheba, Israel. The proposed facilities construction will be administered under Foreign Military Sales (FMS), and U.S. procurement laws and regulations. Contracts will be awarded and paid in U.S. dollars. Under the Wye River Accords, this procurement is restricted to United States firms, Israeli firms or U.S./Israeli Joint Ventures. In addition, construction materials must be manufactured in Israel, to the extent such materials satisfy contract requirements. Contractors may bring into Israel nationals of the U.S. and third countries having diplomatic relations with Israel for the purpose of accomplishing the work. This project will provide a new Infantry Training Base with all supporting utilities, roads, physical security, training, administrative and recreational facilities and furniture required to support an infantry brigade of the Israeli Defense Force. The planned structures include barracks, class rooms, dining facilities, medical facilities, a synagogue, headquarters, sports facilities, training facilities, storage facilities, fueling stations, firing ranges and miscellaneous utilities, buildings, offices, and sheds. The project site is located in an undeveloped desert region approximately 20 kilometers north of Beersheba, Israel. Solicitation will be issued on or about 2 August 2000. Proposals will be received on or about 2 October 2000. Estimated cost of proposed procurement is more than $10,000,000. Estimated time of completion: 730 Calendar Days: SIC code 1541.
