This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for a commercial item prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This acquisition is 100% set aside for small business; SIC: 3448; Size Std: 500 employees. Contract Line item (CLIN) 0001: Pre-Engineered Structural Fire Training Simulator, Wesco Model FF-3, to include assembly and installation. The complete unit consists of a two story, residential style section with a gabled roof, two interior decks, an attic deck, and a second floor live fire burn room with Westemp insulation. One end of this section incorporates a three story stair tower of three interior deck levels under a flat roof. On the opposite end of the residential section is a single story annex with Westemp insulation and temperature monitors to provide a live fire burn room. Approximate weight of steel, 71,587 lbs. The foundation will be Government Furnished. This is a brand name or equal requirement, the FAR Clause 52.211-6, Brand Name or Equal applies. Basis of Award: Award will be made to the lowest-price Offeror, best demonstrating their ability to satisfy the technical capabilities of the items specified.
