is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in
accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6, as supplemented with
additional information included in this notice. This announcement
constitutes the only solicitation, and therefore, a formal written
solicitation will not be issued. Responses to this notice should be
provided in writing by 26 July 00, 2:30 PM PST. The solicitation
document and incorporated provisions/clauses are those in effect
through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-18. The Government intends to
procure the following: The contractor shall provide all necessary
tools, parts, equipment and labor necessary to upgrade the present
audiovisual system to RAID V configuration, including, but not limited
to: installing 5 each raid mirroring devices (rack mounted enclosure,
hot swappable, contains two raid controllers, holds up to six half
height drives, includes serial cable, SCSA cable, and two raid kits)
(Broadcast Electronic, No P/N), 20 each 36.0 GB hard drives (3.5 inch
height (for Raid V) 4 per server for a total of 108 GB per server)
(Broadcast Electronic P/N 804-8236), and provide 10 days of on-site
training. The Government will trade in the existing 23 GB hard drives
on the system as part of this acquisition. The contractor is to remove
them at its own expense. Standard commercial warranty required. The
system shall be delivered FOB destination 30 days after receipt of
order to the Defense Visual Information Center, March AFB CA 92518. All
responsible sources may submit a quote, which shall be considered by
the agency. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services
for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one
source under the authority of FAR 6.302, Broadcast Electronics.
Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to
respond to the requirement or submit proposals. The Government will
consider all proposals received by the time established for the receipt

days of the fax. To be eligible to receive an award resulting from this
quotation, Contractor must be registered with the Central Contractor
Registration (CCR) database, NO EXCEPTIONS. To register, you may apply

Dun & Bradstreet (DUNS) number in order to apply. The following
provisions apply to this solicitation and, to the degree applicable, to
any resulting contract. FAR 52.212-1, FAR 52.252-2, FAR 52.202-1, FAR
52.204-4, DFARS 252.204-7004, FAR 52.212-2 -- The evaluation criteria
for this solicitation will consist of technical capability of the item
offered to meet the agency need, price, and past performance. Offerors
shall include a completed copy of the provisions at FAR 52.212-3,
Offeror Representations and Certifications Commercial Items, with their
offer, 212-4, Contract terms and conditions-Commercial Items, FAR
52.212-5, including the following sub-clauses, 52.203-6, 52.219-8,
52.219-9, 52.222-21, 52.222-26, 52.222-35, 52.222-36, 52.222-37,
52.232-33, DFARS 52.212-7000, DFARS 52.212-7001, including the
following sub-clause, 252-243-7002. DLAD Clause 52.0233-4001, Agency
Protests, also applies. MARKING INSTRUCTIONS: The Contractor shall
attach two copies of a detailed packing list in each box or container
with unlike items where the full description of the contents is not
authorized or cannot be shown. Include one (1) copy of the packing list
inside the box or container and attach one (1) copy of the packing list
on the outside of the box or container. The outside of the box or
container should also include the complete shipping address as provided
in the schedule. The packing list shall contain the following
information: (a) Package number and set number (if any) of the
container. (b) A list of the contents which shows the quantity by item,
item description, part number, type and size, unit of issue if other
than each. (c) Failure to provide a packing list may cause
non-acceptance and rejection of the material created by an inability to
