Army Communication Electronics Command (CECOM) intends to procure a quantity of 60 each, with a 100% option, 725 MHz Source,oscillator, NSN: 5998-01-197-4607, P/O C-11109A/TSC. Delivery will be made to New Cumberland. A non-completitive negotiation is proposed with MA-COM, Inc, a division of Tyco Elcetronics. MA/-COM is the original equipment manufacturer of the 725 MHz Source oscillator, and is the only contractor appearing on the source control drawing (SCD) Number SM-A988731 owned by the Governmemt. The form, fit and function of the Source oscillator are not defined by any nationally recognized industry standard or specification. Thus, no other contractor possess the combination of technical data and specialized knowledge required to satisfy the Government's requirements. However, all responsible sources may submit a proposal, which shall be considered by the agency. See Numbered Note (s)22.
