Project is located on the Bear Valley and Long Creek Districts of the Malheur National Forest. Work consists of mechanical treatment of woody materials on the ground. Equipment shall be a power driven rotary head capable of choping, chewing or grinding wood fiber up to seven inches in diameter and maneuvering within tree spacing of 14 to 16 feet without damage to the leave trees. Contract will be for a minimum of 1000 acres and a maximum of 3000 acres. Orders will be issued from time of award through September 30, 2001. Proposals are due close of business on August 31.
