Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12 and
the Simplified Acquisition Procedures set forth in FAR Part 13. This
notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items
prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as
supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This
announcement constitutes the only solicitation, which is issued as a
Request for Quotation (RFQ); quotes are being requested and a written
solicitation will not be issued. The information required by FAR

NASA/MSFC plans to acquire a Bridgeport Expath Lath with the following
specifications. 1. Bridgeport EZPATH SD lathe, 480 volt, 3-phase, 60
hertz with internal multi-tap transformer capable of 208 volt or 480
volt, with minimum standard features: (1) cast iron construction with
heavily ribbed bed with maximum floor space required: 51 inches x 98
