One (1) each TWTA Compact Medium Power Amplifier (CMPA), P/N VZC-6964A4 series, 400 watt, 5.850-6.650 GHZ, with pin attenuator, internal computer interface RS422/485 and integrated output component; overall gain 75dB min. Prime power 110-240 VAC 47-63 HZ, single phase; rear air intake and exhaust. The equipment is for replacement TWTA and is part of a redundant high power amplifier system manufactured by Varian. Existing system is composed of two TWTA and one RF switching module located at NWAS, Corona, CA. The TWTA is used to provide satellite communications between NWAS Corona, CA and NAS Roosevelt Roads, PR. Equipment provides a high profile critical link for AFWTF missile data delivered to NWAS Corona, CA. Communications & Power Industries, Inc. (CPI), SATCOM Div. (Formerly Varian MEP), Palo Alto, CA is the OEM. CPI has the proprietary knowledge of the Varian RF switching module interface to the TWTA.
