The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA/SPO) and the Air Force Research Laboratory, Sensors Directorate, (AFRL/SNKD), Wright Research Site are soliciting research proposals for the Parallel Advanced Tactical Targeting Technology (PAT3) program. Proposals for this effort will be due by no later than 6 Sep 00, 4:00 pm local time. The objective of the PAT3 program is to develop and demonstrate innovative concepts and develop validated tools for performance / hardware trade studies. Emphasis is placed on innovative concepts and algorithms that can be demonstrated first by simulation and/or analytical methods (Phase 1 -- baseline) and then later validated (Phase 2 -- option) using data collected under the AT3 program. The duration of Phase 1 is 9 months with an option for 24 additional months if awarded. Multiple Phase 1 and Phase 2 awards are planned. Phase 1 is divided into three task areas (Environment and System Simulation; Algorithm Development; and Data Analysis/Validation).
