to extend Contract 68-C5-0036, "Field/Pilot Scale Evaluation of
Biological Treatment Technologies for Superfund Cleanup", to allow
completion of the following work assignments: WA 5 -- Phytoremediation
Demonstration; WA 12 -- Demonstration of Enhanced In-Situ
Bioremediation of Chlorinated Compounds; WA 14 -- Alternate Cover
Assessment Project; WA 18 -- Demonstration of Ecomat Inc.'s System for
Biological Denitrification and Removal of Carbon Tetrachloride from
Groundwater; WA 19 -- Evaluation of Phytoremediation of Radionuclides
at INEEL; WA 20 -- Demonstration of In-Situ Stabilization of Mercury
Mine Waste; WA 21 -- Evaluation of Technology for Removal or
Degradation of PCBs From contaminated Soil; WA 22 -- Demonstration of
In-Situ Biodegradation of Chlorinated Solvents at the Fisherville Mill
Site; WA 23 -- Evaluation of EquIS Environmental Data Management
System; WA 24 -- Evaluation of Technologies/Processes for Remediation
of MTBE Contaminated Groundwater. Each of these work assignments is
either in some phase of the field work associated with the
demonstrations or is in the data reduction and report preparation phase
of the process. It is estimated that about 10,000 hour and an
additional 12 months will be required to complete the work. Companies
that feel they can provide the Government's requirements may submit
qualification statements that explain how the technical work will be
completed within the time schedules negotiated for each demonstration
and without compromising the validity of the data generated during the
demonstrations. Responses must be received no later than 15 days after
