The GSA, FTS, ANSWER Solutions Development Center and Acquisition Services Division, Pacific Rim Region intends to award several multiple award firm fixed price Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity Nationwide DSL service task order contracts for the GSA, FTS, New England Region. Commercial item procedures will be used in accordance with FAR Part 12 and GSAM Part 512. The requirement shall serve as a source of supply for DSL services anywhere within the 48 contiguous United States, Alaska, Hawaii and District of Columbia and provide support to GSA, all civilian agencies (nationwide), as well as the Department of Defense (DoD), that have networking multimedia and e-Commerce requirements. Multiple awards will be made to Contractors capable of providing DSL service covering GSA_s 10 Regions (Atlanta, GA, Boston, MA, Denver, CO, Chicago, IL, Dallas, TX, Kansas City, MO, Philadelphia, PA, New York City, NY, San Francisco, CA, and Seattle, WA). This may include Regional providers in a particular area of the country, a smaller localized metropolitan area providers, and national providers. Services will include but not limited to installation, wiring, and coordination with the Local Exchange Carrier (LEC) along with a technical help desk available 7 days/week, 14 hrs/day, 365 days/year. It is anticipated that the contracts awarded will be for a One Year Base Period with four (4) one (1) Year Options. The estimated issue date of Solicitation no. 9TE-AS-00-0002 is August 1, 2000.
